One minute on the clock. GIANTS WIN!!
I wonder how my Lit Hum professor would feel about a paper comparing The Patriots to Troy.

My poor unfortunate laptop decided it would be a good idea to crash. Luckily my warrenty covers a replacement harddrive so I should be up and running again in about a week. Until then I'll be scarce!

School work stole all of yesterday.
Luckily is now the weekend (for me) and I have SOME free time between finishing up all the other things I have to do, including choosing housing for next year. I have to get a head start so I don't get raped by the upperclassmen when it comes to getting the good dorms. Although I may be contesting with my cousin for the same dorm. Oh well. If I'm going to get raped it might as well be by family.
End of the week, so I've now officially been to all the classes I'll have this semester:
LITERATURE HUMANITIES Generally a mediocre class and extremely shallow in terms of analyzing the texts we read. Basically what you'd expect of The Core. New professor this semester and he's terrible. A graduate student minoring in theater so...yes. Put a wig and some lipstick on him and he could be a Mean Girl.
SCIENCE OF PSYCHOLOGY A very good class on the whole, particularly for individuals who aren't really majoring in science or all that keen on science in general. The professor has a good sense of humor and does well with a class full of Humanities people taking the course due to the science requirement. I knew for a fact I was staying in the class when I read the syllabus and discovered that 86 or higher is and A and 85 - 71 is a B. ...I beg your pardon!? The midterm and the final exams are worth 80% of my grade so this implies that I can ignore all my other assignments and, as long as I do well on the exams, still walk away with a solid B. (I won't of course because, over achieving hussy that I am, I want an A, but the point is still valid)
DAUGHTERS OF DIDO A great class and more or less exactly what I thought/hoped it would be. Lots of work and tons of memorizing, including geography but the texts we'll be reading and the depth of the course is absolutely worth it. It's also a small class, about eight students including me, and all girls (also as expected). The professor, while not amazing, is very down to earth and friendly and definately knows her stuff.
INTRO TO POETRY & POETICS This is, hands down, the most amazing class I've ever had and I've only gone to two sessions! There are two professors and both of them are hilarious and fun but intensely knowledgable. They also bicker and call each other (and the class) 'poetry dorks' which I find exceedingly entertaining and hope continues through the rest of the spring term. The material itself is also interesting--mildly confusing, but that's possibly another part of why it's interesting.
UNIVERSITY WRITTING A barely tolerable class with uninteresting readings. (Yes again, to be expected of The Core) The professor is what makes it tolerable. Another friendly and down to earth individual, who looks, dresses, and talks like a gothic version of Posh Spice.

I've applied for a work study job at the Metroplitan Museum of Art, which, as far as I can devise, will consist mostly of maitenence of books and literature, file keeping, and data entry; all things which I've done before so it shouldn't be difficult. With that in mind, once I start working this is more or less what my schedule will look like:
MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS 10am - 11am: Breakfast 11am - 1pm: School work? (possibly) 1pm - 2:30pm: The Science of Psychology 2:30pm - 6pm: Work Study 6pm - 7:30pm: Daughters of Dido 7:30pm - 8:30pm: Dinner 8:30pm - ?: School Work & ME TIME!
TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS 9am - 11am: Literature Humanities 11am - 12pm: Nap? 12pm - 1pm: Lunch 1pm - 2:30pm: Fencing 2:30pm - 4pm: Intro to Poetry & Poetics 4pm - 5:30pm: University Writing 5:30pm - 6:30pm: Dinner 6:30pm - 9pm: Work Study 9pm - 10:30pm: Jester Magazine (tuesday); Anime Club (thursday) 10:30pm - ?: School work
I swear if I didn't have Fridays off I'd drop out right now. Although I am looking forward to DoD and Intro to Poetry, the later in particular since the professor is so icy. Sheldon is making me excerise with him because he has some whacked out notion that he's fat, even though he is a 6' male who weighs 160lbs. I have absolutely no interest in excersing since, despite being 5'5 and 120lbs myself, I am lazy. I figure that walking to class in my boots and fencing is more then enough to keep my healthy, thank you. Besides I am intimidated by treadmills.
We've started The Aeneid in Lit. Hum and, after reading one section depiting a painting of the amazon warrior queen Penethilsea, I now want a tattoo that says 'daring to war with men'. I don't know where I want it or how I'm going to get over the fact that I hate needles, I just know it would look hella awesome in black script.
Sooner or later I'm going to get my hands on Cynthia's digi-cam and take some pictures of my new boots (because I'm that in love with them). I'm also toying with the idea of creating some sort of digital scrap book, since Stacey's attempt to make a dead-tree one was shot to hell when she DROPPED THE PHOTOS IN TIMES SQUARE! Including the cosplay pictures of me as Chii from the NYC Anime Festival a few months ago.
I think Cynthia gave me her cold because I've been feeling sick since this morning and that's the last thing I need. Someone's going to have to come up to New York and feed me chicken soup and tea. Volunteers get my eternal love and devotion...and possible the sickness as well. =)

So, despite what I expected, there were no major injuries sustained during the move back into my dorm. Despite the fact that Sheldon and I were transporting a tv on a public train (and subway). You'd think we'd atleast get into SOME wacky hijinks, but nope. Nothing. Aside from the fact that the compartments were full and we ended up standing near the doors. By the time we reached Secaucus even that space was filled and, amuseingly enough, with almost all gay guys. Dear Sheldon was estatic and I thought he was going to swoon all over one of the guys' abercromie polo.
There was also the guy who asked for my phone number while I was texting Cynthia. I told him that I didn't have a cell phone and went back to texting. He left me alone.
I was completely estatic to be back in my dorm--and then I got the emails from my financial advisor, my academic advisor, and the notice that I had to reregister for some of my classes. I took care of it all while keeping this song on loop.
I really need to go over my account and make sure I have enough money for books. I'm also being kidnapped to go running with my cousin and start on the pre-paper that I have to finish writting for my Daughters of Dido class. And then tomorrow I'm going to Spring Awakening and maybe hitting Avalon. Or maybe I'll just stay in and divide my time between the computer and the game cube I pwned from Sheldon.

It's...7:38 AM. I move back into my dorm later today, I haven't slept yet, but the relocation from GJ is now complete. Parting is such sweet sorrow. Really. Particularly since I'd only gotten there a year ago. Um...sorry to my cult!(?) I hope promise there will be no more moving. It's LJ or bust.
I really should be packing, but that's not important as I have Sheldon to do all my heavy lifting for me. And by heavy lifting I mean carting my shit on the train and through Penn Station. Right now he's watching Devil Wears Prada, unaware of the gruelling labor that awaits him in only a few hours. Poor serf boy.
Stuff Coming Up: Review of The Golden Compass, which won't be pretty at all. For those who read the book and saw the movie, you know what's coming! Also one of Hedwig and The Angry Inch! Hopefully, I will have music to offer for download at that time as well. Coheed and Cambria in Madison Square Garden(!!!). The actual concert is quite a few weeks away but preparations begin immediately, because after paying tuition (I don't want to think about that) ticket price is going to be scraping the barrel bottom. Recount of how moving went, which will no doubt be very amusing and spekled with injury based humor, because Sheldon and I are both clumsy/lazy/accident prone people. Not necessarily all in that order.
So yes. BusyBusyBusy.
